Making efficient use of time throughout the day is important because theres a lot on your plate and spending the required amount of time on each task i.e deciding your priorities. John Rampton says there needs to be structure throughout the day because sometimes you can run around and "accomplish zilch" (Rampton J., 2019). Being an entrepreneur can mean you have an extreme workload and Rampton goes on to remind us to schedule events in a calendar so that you can balance work, your life, and personal relationships which are very important in life (Rampton J., 2019).

Being an entrepreneur means that you are in charge of making strategic decisions that will make your business grow and be successful and this requires time management skills so as not to miss oportunities (Mind, Body and Soul, 2024).

They go on to say to use the "eating the frog" approach by prioritizing tasks and completing the most important first in order to achieve success. By using this system you can accomplish the most important short term and long term goals and always achieve the most important and critical first and foremost. If you're wasting time on things that don't matter or don't have a routine you'll never be successful.

CEO's like Steve Jobs were successful because they were innovators with a vision and accomplished the most important tasks first in that order. One of the reasons Jobs saved Apple® from failure was because he drew a table with four quadrants and told everyone to focus on four products instead of the vast array of unsuccessful products that they were producing (Issacson, W. 2012). He focused on the things that mattered most and prioritized his time on strategy rather than being spread to thin working on things that were destined for failure and causing bankruptcy. He has a vision to recover Apple® to its former glory and it worked. So we can learn from Jobs to prioritize the things that matter most and have a vision and strategy planned, then we can manage our time accordingly.
